Where To Begin?
Born out of an idea and funded by proceeds from
operating booths at renaissance festivals, Kyle had
an idea to start a winery and equipment design
company.   Roggenbuck Estates is growing fast.
Seems like there is something new going on every
single day.
Why?
We have searched far and wide for quality wines at
fair prices.  It was easy to find one or the other, but
not both.  We decided to change that.  We believe
that quality and caring matter more than margins
and rapid profitability.
We Bring A Wide Offering Of Products And Services:
What Else We Do
We are developing into a 3-headed (friendly) beast.  First, we have our equipment
group who design filters, corkers, etc.  We have standard offerings AND can
custom design a system for you.  Second we have our winery.  We use the same
equipment in our winery as we offer for sale.  Third is the (coming) winemakers'
supply internet site.  We will offer all types of supplies and assistance at internet
pricing.  Give us a chance.  We'll do our best to help you.

How Do We Do It?
Wineries go to great lengths to hide their secrets.  Not us!  We want you to know
what is involved in bringing you the best quality wine we can.  It all starts with the
grapes.  We carefully select the blends and locations from among the best
growers we can find.  Then we have them blend and 'season' our stock to our
specifications and send them to us.  From there we make adjustments to create
a true Minnesota wine.  From there we slow ferment over a couple months to
keep the wine's natural flavors and gentle bouquet.  Many wineries force ferment
at higher temperatures with yeast accelerants.  They regain the flavor with
additives and what is called F-packing.  Not us.  Quality is worth the extra time.
Our Filtration Process
Wineries use all sorts of methods of yeast removal.  Some pump their wine full of
sulfites.  Some use shell fish extract.  Some waste hundreds of gallons by only
taking off the top of the fermenter.  Some use a series of single step filtrations
down to .5 microns.  Not us!  We use a 1-time, low flow, low pressure filtration
pass thru 4 filter membranes.  We use a 5 micron, 1 micron, .5 micron, and a .2
micron filter.  This allows us to reduce the sulfite content.  We are the only winery
we know of that is using this method.  How do we know?  We designed the
system ourselves in our facility.  We have the filter members custom made for us.
It was a long costly process, but we are satisfied with the result.
